Common questions
A message says my computer is infected and to call a number. What should I do?
Don't call the number and don't let anyone connect to your computer. These are almost always scams. Close the browser if you can, or turn the computer off, and call us.
I let a scammer onto my computer. What now?
Disconnect it from the internet, contact your bank if you entered banking details, and call us. We check the computer, remove any remote-access tools and help you change important passwords.
Will anti-virus stop every threat?
No security product catches everything. Good protection, updates, backups and knowing how to spot scams together greatly reduce the risk.
